Well, I don’t know how much wood a woodchuck can chuck. That’s a mystery. What I do know is that the museum’s wood exhibit prep is coming along beautifully. Although the box of Lincoln Logs has created a significant distraction, we are still due to open the exhibit very soon! In it, we will discuss how wood has evolved into an art form and how it has been used by different groups ranging from the Potawatomie, pioneer settlers, high school wood shop students, and master craftsmen. The museum is especially pleased to present art from members of the Chicago Woodturners, a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. They have loaned us some impressive pieces and we are very excited to show them off.
Stay tuned for opening date information.
